The bright turquoise facade draws attention on the street, enticing customers inside.

Once inside, the interiors, inspired by Salvador Dali’s surrealism, includes soft pastel pink walls complemented by light blue and peach elements. Curvy tiered seating creates a casual seating experience and makes use of the interior height.

On the opposite wall are two Bubble Tea inspired cocoon chairs, created to appeal to Instagram-driven millennials.

Dessert visual cues continue throughout the space with curved floor artwork to mimic the ripples of ice cream.

Corrugated metal panels on the front of the service counter, have been treated with an iridescence vinyl, creating a fun effect.

An eye-catching ceiling installation combines suspended concave and convex iridescent mirrors, representing bubbles from DYCE’s core product offering.

Subtle accents of black trimming give the soft colour palette a defined finish.

ARRCC has recently completed the new Cheetah Plains game lodge, located in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve in the Kruger National Park, South Africa.

The designers have re-designed the traditional game lodge, and given it a modern update, that interacts with the outdoors.

The lodge is split up into multiple ‘houses’, providing guests with their own space to relax, rather than communal spaces with individual bedroom suites.

A new resort destination in the Maldives, named the Finolhu Villas by Club Med, has just opened.

The world’s first entirely solar powered five-star guest resort has opened in the Maldives, and it's named the Finolhu Villas by Club Med.


The resort has been designed by New York-based architects Yuji Yamazaki Architecture PLLC, in partnership with local firm Design 2000, and Italian engineering firm T&D Water Technologies.

Aman Resorts have recently opened their second hotel in Japan. Named Amanemu, the resort is located within the Ise-Shima National Park on the Kii Peninsula, on the island of Honshu.

The resort, which overlooks Ago Bay, has been designed with a contemporary take on traditional Japanese aesthetics, using natural materials like woven textiles and large timber shutters.

Casa Cook is a new hotel brand by travel company Thomas Cook, that just opened its first location on the picturesque island of Rhodes, Greece.

This adult only hotel mentions that it’s a “new boutique hotel for the bohemian spirit.” There are 90 rooms, and each one of the rooms opens out onto a swim-up pool. There’s also a restaurant, bar, and pool area, as well a gym and yoga space.

The hotel design was a collaboration between architect Vana Pernariv, interior designer Annabell Kutucu and design agency Lambs & Lions.

The inspiration for the design of the hotel was the natural beauty of the Cyclades and Cycladic architecture, with the main characteristics of white walls paired with stone and wood found throughout the hotel.
