Here are 5 features of smart luggage we’ve been seeing.

1. Instead of stressing about how much you’re packing, then getting to the airport to weigh your suitcase, and then finding out you packed too much, there are now suitcases that have scales in the handles, as shown here on the Trunkster.

Mirrors And Furniture Appear To Melt In The Latest Collection From Bower Studios

Mirrors And Furniture Appear To Melt In The Latest Collection From Bower Studios

New York City based firm Bower Studios, has recently launched the ‘Melt Collection’, that includes a series of mirrors and furniture pieces.

The Melt Collection captures the story of a series of objects that have undergone a transformation.

Tabletops, chair seats, and wall mirrors are each softly slumped over their respective rigid frames, supporting them into their final, functional resting place.

Although these slab-like elements are made from different materials, they seem to share the same “melting point”, like the mirrors that are melting around a wood support.

The designers explain, “The creamy upholstered seat cushions, the
travertine table tops, the glass mirrors, all drooping down as if experiencing some force of nature, some oppressive heat or laziness perhaps that exists in a dimension of their own.”

Here’s a look at all of the furniture pieces included as part of the Melt Collection…
