Extra-Large Window Screens Protect This Building From Rain And Sun

Natura Futura Arquitectura has completed the Bardales Urban Training Center in Babahoyo, Ecuador, that features large wood screens on its facade.

Oversized wood screens that can be opened to facilitate ventilation.

The facade avoids the use of glass and instead employs a 26 foot (8m) high wooden screen that can be opened when needed.

Oversized wood screens cover the facade of a gym.

By using moveable wood screens, it allows the gym to easily control of ventilation, and the amount of sunlight that enters the workout space.

When it’s raining, the screens can be closed, and at night, the indoor lighting shines through, like a lantern.
