Salem Architecture in collaboration with interior design firm Chardonnat, has completed the renovation of a historic residence in the heart of Montreal, Canada, and as part of the project, they created an outdoor space ideal for entertaining.
A covered wood patio with a dining table and seating runs alongside the house, however it’s the inclusion of a outdoor sunken living room that really catches our eye.
Covered with a retractable awning, the sunken conversation pit with a fire bowl allows the family that lives in the home to enjoy a cozy space outdoors. There’s also an abundance of cushions and upholstered bench seating to make sitting outside comfortable.
